Lesson plans are designed for flexible course formats. Most educators teach this content as a 4.25–7.5 hour course. It can be offered as a single class or divided into multiple sessions (for example, two to three classes), depending on discussion time, activities, and teaching style.
This 198-page curriculum includes content for teaching postpartum recovery, newborn health and safety, feeding, diapering, bathing, normal newborn behavior, sleep, soothing, breastfeeding support, and more. It also features class activities and printable handouts to supplement instruction.
