While the content is very factual and evidence based, I thought the Lamaze 6 practices could have been in bold type when in context, and the benefits of natural oxytocin and holistic practices could have been given better support.
Maybe a birth story about a stable laboring person being monitored by doppler can listen to and move intuitively. A laboring person on EFM tends not to move because the monitor needs to be readjusted so she listens for baby's heartbeat and forgoes the comfort of intuitive movement for comfort.

I love this booklet for my first time parents… lots of info but better yet lots of pictures to help them with their new baby. I’m a birth doula and give this to all my clients.

I love this book for my Birthing from Within childbirth preparation clients. Childbirth books are often more like text books, full of so much information that it's overwhelming. The Plum Tree Preparing for Baby book is concise, honest, and informative, and it's short enough that parents can actually read and digest the information. It's also beautifully put together.

It really does cover the basics and includes practical information that can facilitate labor and birth and help parents make informed choices. It presents information on breastfeeding but not breastmilk alternatives, so parents planning not to breastfeed (of course along with other special cases) would need supplemental information.

Lovely and informative

This is the second time I’ve purchased the Settling in with Baby booklets and I intend to purchase many more in the future. As a postpartum doula I find this to be a thorough, yet concise, view into what to expect after a baby is born. It touches on numerous topics in an easy to digest way, so as not to make it overwhelming for families already taking in a lot of information during pregnancy!

I usually don't like paying for shipping, but this is the only place I can get quality education for my class.

I have been ordering books with Plumtree Baby for almost as long as they have in business. Their books are great, full of evidence based information, beautiful visuals and they get updated regularly. For 2025 I decided to take advantage and get the books custom branded. I offset the cost by offering the last page to local providers for advertising. This was an idea given to me by Plumtree Baby and is a win win for everyone.
I am not good at graphics at all. So I talked with Julie about what I liked from their samples and guide, submitted my graphics via email because that's easy and they put it all together to make a beautiful custom branded book. It was so easy and smooth and the result is amazing. I'm really looking forward to my next class and use these books.
